Impact
Before trying to answer that question, can you tell me what do you believe in?
What conviction of yours’, are you are willing to give your life and energy towards?
We all have a choice.
To work on something because it’s convenient — helps us make enough money, helps us lead our normal, comfortable lives.
Or
To work on something because it’s interesting — helps us be happy with what we do for a living.
Or
To work on something because it’s important to some one else, something we believe is necessary for our survival.
There is one more option.
To work on something because it is “important” to us.
It is something we truly “believe” that it should exist. It is something for which we are ready to take that “one in ten” chance. A rare situation where we don’t rely on “odds of success” to act.
“Fun” things are not necessarily impactful. Nor are actions that are urgent or fear based.
An impactful piece of work is something that was “really important” for someone to act upon.
What’s important to you?
